Two nurseries, one story
We began in 2014 at S. C. Aon Road, Rishra, in Hooghly — that’s where Plantaeroot was first planted, quite literally. As the business grew, we added a second growing site at Joka, inside Kolkata, so an order to a city address now has a shorter road to travel and stock that’s already settled into the city’s own air.
Nothing here is a courier drop-off from a supplier we’ve never seen. Both sites are working nurseries — we grow what we sell.
Delivery across Kolkata and West Bengal
We deliver to every KMC ward and the wider metro — Ballygunge, Salt Lake, New Town, Behala, Jadavpur, Dum Dum, Garia, Howrah, Barrackpore and beyond — and beyond the city, across the rest of West Bengal and India, though timelines and cash-on-delivery availability shift with distance from our nurseries.
Free shipping above ₹499. Below that, delivery isn’t a flat number — a courier run to a well-connected city address costs less than a delivery to a village our courier partner has to travel further to reach, so the fee is worked out at checkout from your PIN code rather than quoted here. Enter your address at checkout and you’ll see the exact figure before you pay; nothing is added afterward.
Orders are packed and dispatched within 1–2 working days of confirmation, and a tracking link follows by email and WhatsApp. Kolkata addresses run at the faster end of our 2–4 day window; outlying blocks and heavy monsoon weeks can add a day.

- Browse a category or search for the plant you want, and check its light and care notes on the product page.
- Add to cart — orders above ₹499 ship free.
- Enter your address and PIN code, and choose prepaid or cash on delivery.
- You’ll get an order confirmation, then a tracking link once it’s dispatched.
- Film a continuous unboxing video. It’s what lets us approve a fast replacement if anything arrives damaged.
- Keep the plant in bright, indirect light for its first week before moving it to its final spot, and water only when the top inch of soil is dry.

Payment and cash on delivery
Pay by UPI, PhonePe, Amazon Pay, card, net banking, or cash on delivery — COD is available across serviceable Kolkata PIN codes; you pay the courier when the parcel arrives. Please be reachable on the delivery day: a live plant that travels back to the nursery rarely survives the return trip in saleable condition, which is why we occasionally restrict COD on high-value orders.
